Just back from a 3 day, 6 cave dive tour with Davide and I can recommend him without reservation to anyone wanting to learn cave diving with an experienced, knowledgeable, safety minded instructor or just have a great diving vacation, and at the same time pick up several pearls of wisdom that will make you a better diver. Absolutely unforgettable cenote dive at Dos Ojos! I went diving in the Dos Ojos yesterday with Ghost Divers, and it was truly one of the most special diving experiences I’ve ever had. Our guide Alonso was amazing – incredibly friendly, funny, attentive, and professional. He explained everything clearly, made us feel very safe, and showed us the most beautiful spots inside the cenote. You could really feel how much experience and passion he has for cenote diving. The dive itself was pure magic: crystal-clear water, stunning light effects, and multiple goosebump moments. It was one of those rare dives that stays with you long after you surface. Everything was perfectly organized, relaxed, and professional from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Before coming on holiday to Mexico,I looked around for dive operators in the area. I choose Ghost divers as i had seen a lot of Davide’s posts on youtube and facebook reels. There was great communication with Davide both in the Uk and Mexico. I’ve had 4 really great dives, 1 reef dive and the other with the visiting Bull Sharks in Playa del carmen. The 2 other dives were in Dos Ojos Cenote, Alonso was my instructor and guide for all the dives i did. He was attentive and a great instructor and i had the luxury of having 1-1 tuition. Alonso was humorous and very down to earth, i’m glad i had the privilege of having him as my instructor. Don’t normally do reviews but these guys deserve one , if anyone is looking to get into cave diving I can highly recommend them Davide has a wealth of knowledge and experience the training is fun but don’t think it’s easy or there is a short cut , there are NO SHORT CUTS and you need to be prepared to take on the information and the correction given which is absolutely honest ( It’s amazing how much you don’t know until you know it) the whole team are fantastic and there is no problems only solutions can’t wait to dive with them in the future Thanks for organising the shark diving with my wifeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I could not recommend Ghost Divers enough! I had an absolute blast training with Davide. With every dive course I've taken, there's always been a number of intangibles I've accquired beyond the pure skillset which is part of the course (spoiler alert: I can now go into caves). I think in the 14 odd days I've trained with Davide, I've learned more about myself as a diver than throughout my entire dive career. There's been a few instances when I thought of giving up because things weren't going my way and Davide has been great at giving me the time and space to internalize my mistakes, process them and come back from them. Thanks to the training AND the mental coaching (yes, I consider myself "mental coached") I have definitely improved as a diver and stepped into the world of technical diving. For those of you that are reading the review just to know more about the training: yes, it will be lots of fun... for Davide! But, even though demanding, you will learn how to safely navigate the overhead environment as a member of a badass team. And that's lots of fun on his own. Definitely consider paying Ghost Divers a visit: you're going to enjoy yourself, learn to do cool stuff in a safe environment and come out a better diver and a better human.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I really enjoyed learning from Davide, he explained things and the reason behind them. When I messed up or didn’t understand something he took the time to figure out how to explain the same concept differently. It took me a few days to get my body positioning correct for navigation. When he explained to me to think of my body like a door to keep my team from going the wrong way and my light like a rifle (don’t point it at someone) it totally clicked and I got it right. Obviously I still need practice but I now know I have the required skills and knowledge to cave dive. My wife did an advanced open water class with Momo while I did the cave class with Davide. She really enjoyed the class and not only did he teach the required curriculum he also taught her about using the DIR setup I switched her to. Before she did not like the DIR (probably because I didn’t adjust it quite right for her) Momo got it all squared away for her and now she understands the benefits over a jacket BCD. I did several cenote dives with Davide and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He’s extremely professional and knowledgeable, and I always felt completely safe diving with him. Even on guided dives, he takes the time to share valuable tips that help you become a better diver—without ever being overbearing.
