CAVE DIVING

Benefits of cave diving with a pro in Mexico

When you go cave diving with a guide, rather than renting your own car and tanks, I know exactly what you have in mind!

The logistic support is the first benefit, because it allows you to save time and energies. This is particularly relevant if you are here in holiday, when you don’t want to stress too much!

Many times my divers ask me to play the role of teammate, so I can evaluate their leading skills. It’s a very good opportunity to get an objective feedback!

Helping divers to tweak their gears is another very common request, especially when we use stage tanks.

Usually cave divers have great buoyancy and trim control, nevertheless a good tip to tune up your skills is always useful!

Special missions

With rocks enthusiasts we can discuss the geology of the Yucatan peninsula and the formation of solution caves. It’s very interesting to plan dives to see a particular kind of formation or fossil, especially if you are into geology and paleontology!

For photographers I offer private sessions, with the option to hire professional models and safety divers. This kind of dive operation usually requires several days of detailed planning, but you already know that!

The added value of helping divers to improve their skills, for me it’s a basic standard. I believe we should take advantage of every dive to learn something new!

Guided cave dives

I guide in the systems from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. We choose the caves depending on what interests you the most, whether that’s geology, prehistoric megafauna, complex navigation or photography.

There are three components for a successful dive:

  1. Dive planning: Depending on the complexity of the operations, we might plan the dive the same morning or some days in advance. You tell me what you need and I offer you the best set of options!
  2. Equipment setting: It’s not just about preparing your gears in the morning, but to make sure that you have the best configuration possible for the task. If we have to modify your equipment, we might dedicate a dive just to that!
  3. Proper execution: Follow me and learn my diving routine, or ask me to evaluate your skills… either way, I will help you to get better and better, every dive!

My job is to add value to your experience through my knowledge of the local area, as well as with helpful tips about diving skills. I am ready to share with you my approach to mental preparation, dive planning and execution. Therefore, you will advance your self-reliance and situational awareness. On the other hand, if you need a guide to feel safe, what you really need is more training… which I offer!

I guide a maximum of three divers and we can go for one or two dives per day. Consider this sorties as full day activities.

When my divers are happy about their performance and what they learned, I am happy too! Come here for a rewarding experience!
